FTA: An Outdoor Training Resource
 From Leave No Trace principles to chainsaw certification, the Florida Trail Association offers an array of volunteer training courses every hiking season for our members, with some courses open to the general public. Learn rigging or tool maintenance, or how to safely and effectively wield a chainsaw, crosscut saw, or axe. Train with the best!
Spaces are limited for hands-on instruction, but members of the media are always welcome to stop in on a course for coverage. Need an interview or a respected source of wilderness information? The state’s Leave No Trace advocate is on our staff, as well as certified Wilderness First Responders. Check in with the Florida Trail Association for the latest at trail.floridatrail.org.
